ISO standards implementation in 11 weeks for a window manufacturer
We prepared the company for certification, which was a requirement of a client from Belgium. No unnecessary bureaucracy, just practical procedures.
The company Okna-Lux Podlasie was pushed against a wall. They had a chance for a large contract in Belgium, but the client required ISO 9001 certification in less than three months. We did it without fluff and unnecessary binders.
The challenge
The company owner, Mr. Marek, had 14 days to present a work schedule to the Belgian partner. A previous consulting firm estimated the work at 8 months and 39,000 zlotys. Chaos reigned in technical documentation on the floor, and 11% of finished windows were returned for rework due to packing errors. Without the certificate, a contract worth 124,500 EUR would have slipped through their fingers.
Our approach
We know the smell of grease, so we didn't just sit in the office. We delegated two of our specialists, Artur and Paweł, who spent 4 days a week directly at the hall in Bielsk Podlaski. Instead of writing 200-page manuals that no one reads, we focused on simple control cards. We focused on what was actually failing: raw material inspection and securing panes for transport.
The solution
We introduced a simple quality control system that takes an employee exactly 3.5 minutes for each window. We threw out 47 unnecessary forms that only slowed down work. We trained 9 people from the production team, showing them specifics on how to avoid frame damage. We wrapped everything in short procedures that fit on 12 A4 pages.
Results
The company passed the certification audit the first time without losing a single day of the tight deadline. Thanks to new procedures, the floor is cleaner, and employees know exactly what they are responsible for.

"We were sure ISO was just bureaucracy and costs. The people from Orzeł Strategii Group showed us how to count every penny on waste. The Belgians are happy, and we have order."
